Often referred to as a “dance club”, these types of establishments are for people to meet, drink and dance or listen to live music or a DJ. There may or may not be a cover charge to enter. Sale of alcoholic beverages is the chief source of revenue, with liquor sales over 25% of total revenues. Food service is limited. Adult Clubs: These cater to an adult crowd and feature exotic dancing as the main attraction. These establishments may or may not have food or liquor service. Normally, a cover or admission charge is used. Clubs: These establishments are open at least twice a week, and may be open more often. They provide some form of regularly scheduled entertainment, which does not usually include patron participation, even though it may. Food can account for a substantial part of the revenue sales. A cover charge may apply or tickets may be sold either in advance or at the door. These types of establishments can include Comedy Clubs, Dinner Theaters, Magic Shows, etc.
